Texas Health Action seeks an Human Resources Coordinator to support core HR operations by administering key processes across benefits, HRIS maintenance, onboarding, and compliance. This role ensures the smooth execution of critical HR functions through meticulous attention to detail and data accuracy. This is a full-time, temporary position through 8/31/2026. The position requires a hybrid schedule with at least one on-site day per week to support essential administrative needs and foster collaboration.
Essential Duties:
Benefits Administration:
- Assist in coordinating open enrollment processes, including scheduling sessions, communicating updates to employees, and managing enrollment changes.
- Maintain accurate benefits records within the HRIS (Paycom), ensuring timely updates and compliance with organizational policies.
- Respond to employee benefits inquiries, providing clear guidance and escalating issues as needed.
HRIS Maintenance:
- Regularly update employee data within Paycom, ensuring timely processing and accuracy across benefits, leave management, personnel changes, and compliance records.
- Generate and distribute routine and ad hoc reports on HR metrics, such as headcount, turnover, and benefits participation.
- Conduct periodic audits of HRIS records to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Onboarding and Offboarding:
- Coordinate onboarding logistics, including generating offer letters, verifying I-9 documentation, and facilitating IT setup in collaboration with other departments.
- Manage the setup and distribution of new hire welcome materials to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
- Process offboarding tasks such as deactivating system access, ensuring the return of company assets, and completing exit documentation.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Maintain and organize personnel files in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Oversee the completion of background checks, E-Verify processes, and I-9 documentation to ensure timely compliance.
- Monitor compliance training completion and maintain accurate tracking within the HRIS.
General Administrative Support:
- Assist in maintaining HR-related documentation, including updating policies and procedures.
- Manage HR mail and correspondence, including distributing notices and handling confidential materials.
- Support ongoing HR projects and initiatives as assigned, ensuring timely execution and adherence to objectives.
Employee Support:
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Provide support for employee engagement initiatives by coordinating events and tracking participation.
Compensation
Based on job duties and requirements, this position has an hourly range of $25.00 - $27.00 per hour. Initial placement will be based on hired candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.This position is currently funded through August 31, 2026. Continued employment is contingent upon future funding beyond this date. Ninety-day notification will be provided if this position will no longer be funded.

Requirements
Education and/or Licensure – High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred; may substitute relevant experience for education.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR or administrative roles, with a focus on HRIS maintenance, benefits administration, or compliance.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, particularly Paycom, is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, onboarding processes, and employee records management is essential.
Additional Requirements – Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
