About the Job
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day administration and execution of HR policies, programs, and procedures. Responsible for participating in: employee relations, training & development, on-boarding, employee communications and engagement, recruitment and staffing, and HR compliance. Assist in providing research related to CA policies, training and strategic planning and other human resource items. In this role, the incumbent will be expected to solve problems, develop, and execute objectives under minimal direction and can affect business goals and partner/participate in company-wide initiatives.
Salary: $28-$32 an hour depending on experience
Hours: Mon-Thu 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and Friday 4:00 am - 1:00 pm. This role may require off shift hours, weekends, overtime and Holidays as needed
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Leave Administration/Payroll/Attendance
- Manages HR administrative & transnational work processes - Record keeping, Attendance tracking, FMLA/Leave administration, HR Systems and Maintaining applicant, new hire, and termination packets as well, Temporary Agency Workforce Liaison and maintenance
- Responsible for reviewing and submitting payroll. Communicates to HRBP payroll status
- Assisting in creation of on-boarding, leaves, and termination packages and processes.
- Reviews Attendance Spreadsheet for accuracy and communication to HRBP employee point status.
Talent Acquisition
- Administers talent acquisitions activities within facilities (i.e. recruitment, selection, onboarding, etc.)
- Assist with working with corporate compliance to ensure regulatory compliance in all aspects of HR including ensuring the Affirmative Action/EEO Program is kept current and updated accordingly.
- Schedules new hire orientation and sends Outlook calendar invites to trainers.
HR Administration
- Participates in and supports all internal/external audits within facilities, as necessary.
- Assist in developing and administering appropriate training across the facility. Follow up and ensure training was completed.
- Responsible for all COVID cases, tracking, reporting, posting and communication for this site
- Other duties as assigned.
Employee Relations
- Assist in managing employee relations by investigating, researching, resolving, and communicating regarding employee questions, issues, or concerns.
- Assist in championing employee wellness initiatives and drive through activities, education, and awareness.
Required Skills/Experience/Knowledge:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Required bi-lingual (Spanish/English)
- 2-4 years of HR Coordinator/HR administrative experience in an HR department. Manufacturing/Production preferred.
- Knowledge of California Labor Laws and HR Processes
- Strong communication, written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Must be trustworthy, accountable, and work with confidential discretion when required
- Ability to make sound decisions, work independently and complete tasks in a fast-paced work environment
- Experience dealing with confidential matters and correspondence
