Job Summary:
Initial point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and external partners. Must have experience with HR procedures and the ability to effectively and efficiently multitask various administrative tasks in a timely manner. Responsible for preparing and providing various reports and analytics for the organization within the HR Department. Maintain in-depth knowledge of recruitment strategies and assist new hires with onboarding process and tracking. Provide administrative support to the HR Department as directed to include record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry; ensure the HR Department supports employees while conforming to labor laws.
Essential Functions/Duties:
- Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization
- Update internal databases (e.g. record sick or medical, personal leave)
- Prepare HR documents and participate in HR projects
- Create regular reports on HR related metrics (e.g. turnover rates)
- Answer routine employee queries about HR-related issues
- Prepare monthly employee census and provide to leadership as needed/requested
- Assist with recruitment and interview process; track status of candidates in HRIS and respond with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process
- Perform clerical functions (e.g. make photocopies; scan and email documents; etc.)
- Prepare and maintain employee files and file documents into appropriate employee files
- Assist or prepare correspondence as requested
- Assist with tracking and managing of Worker’s Comp cases as needed
- Maintain vacation/sick leave accruals and balances
- Supplies: Order all company supplies and ensure accurate distribution to locations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources or related field or 3 years of related experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with HR software (e.g. HRIS or HRMS) and payroll systems
- Computer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular)
- Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
- Strong phone, email, and in-person communication skills
Preferred Education and Experience
- Some advanced education or working toward an advanced degree
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear. The employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no direct reports.
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers/scanners.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Travel: Little to no travel is expected for this position.
