As a Human Resources Business Partner at DN Tanks, you will play a crucial role in our growth and success by formulating partnerships across the business to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the Company.
This position acts as an advisor to leadership and employees, offering guidance on employee relations, talent management, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, and policy and procedures.
We are looking for a candidate with a proven record in implementing HR strategies focused on supporting and enhancing business outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities
- Use HR expertise to support growth, drive organizational effectiveness, and foster a culture of engagement and inclusion. Act as a strategic advisor to management on all human resource-related matters. Lead organizational change initiatives, providing HR guidance and coaching as appropriate.
- Provide direction and advice to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters. Manage, investigate, and resolve employee issues while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Proactively identify potential employee relations risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Partner with HR colleagues, management, and employees to assess employee engagement, observe and track trends in behavior and identify initiatives and programs to enhance employee engagement. Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to ensure best in class talent is entering into the Company.
- Participate in reviewing, developing, and enhancing policies and procedures to effectively support the organization and our employees.
- Leverage HR data and analytics to identify trends, patterns, and insights to drive informed decision-making.
- Maintain an effective level of business literacy about the region's financial position, its project plans, its culture, and its competition
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related program
- Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in HR
- Ability to build trusting partnerships with employees, peers, and leadership; ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong influencing and negotiating skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, engagement/retention, employee and union relations, performance management and federal and state employment laws.
- Hands-on approach willing to roll up sleeves to deliver results
- Construction industry experience preferred.
