“A Day in the Life”
As a bilingual HR Business Partner (HRBP), you will drive innovative and collaborative HR leadership for the West Region of our largest business unit, Mobile Modular. This critical role will partner with multiple, dynamic leaders who lead sales, operations, and production teams. And, the largest segment of employees in this client group is in production and warehouse roles, where you will provide support and guidance for managers, supervisors, and non-union employees who are primarily Spanish-speaking. You will take the lead on key HR initiatives, ensuring their successful implementation with leaders and front-line employees. This role involves high levels of interaction with various organizational leaders with the HR team and throughout the Company, allowing you to influence and shape our workplace culture. “What You’ll Do”
- This role is both hands-on and strategic and provides expertise in the areas of employee relations, performance management, employee retention, coaching/development, development planning, conflict management, compensation, and ad hoc projects as necessary.
- Provide day-to-day partnership with leaders in our California(Northern & Southern, Pacific Northwest(Oregon and Washington) to enhance individual and organizational performance, finding creative solutions for effective people management and team engagement.
- Manage employee relations questions and issues, including performance plans, investigations, and terminations. Solves problems and makes sound decisions that align with McGrath’s core values and company direction.
- Drive career pathing, mentoring, and leadership development activities for employee career growth.
- Reviews and analyzes people data to provide proactive recommendations that support current and future business needs.
- Active member of the business’s leadership team. Drive appropriate human resources practices and processes that aligns with business strategies.
- Serve as program/project lead for various McGrath HR initiatives. Work collaboratively with other HR team members to design and create company-wide deliverables.
- Effectively communicate and document status, issues, risks, and solutions in a timely manner to appropriate stakeholders and senior management.
“Must Haves”
- 7-10 years of proven Human Resources and Business Partner experience, including directly supporting Director and VP levels in an organization.
- Strong human resource skills in the following areas: employee relations, performance management, leave of absences, ADA, engagement, and HR data analytics.
- Proven skills in coaching front-line managers in a production/manufacturing/warehouse environment on how to appropriate handle employee and issues.
- Collaborates and influences effectively with leaders and HR peers on people decisions.
- Demonstrates initiative, creativity, and innovation to drive breakthrough thinking on how to influence, guide, and coach client group.
- Success with owning and driving HR projects and initiatives from ideation to implementation.
- Ability to deal well with ambiguity. Can effectively shift gears comfortably is comfortable handling risk and adversity.
- Applies excellent interpersonal skills both in one-on-one situations and in larger group meetings.
- Skilled in facilitating training, both in person and online.
- Handles multiple tasks with the ability to switch priorities and focus as needed.
- Excellent communication and follow-up.
- Comfortable in a culture where delivering and receiving feedback is expected.
- Strong knowledge of applicable state and federal employment laws.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Fluency in Spanish is required.
- Experience in HR work as it relates to California law.
