About the Job
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations at our Los Angeles office. This individual will be responsible for managing HR initiatives, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, and fostering a positive work environment. The HR Manager will play a crucial role in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Oversee recruitment efforts, including developing job descriptions, sourcing candidates, and managing the hiring process.
- Design and implement effective onboarding programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
- Employee Relations
- Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- Mediate conflicts and resolve employee grievances in a fair and timely manner.
- Compliance & Policy Management
- Ensure compliance with California labor laws and federal regulations, including EEO, ADA, and FMLA requirements.
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures to align with company goals and legal standards.
- Performance Management
- Implement and manage performance appraisal systems, providing tools for continuous feedback and development.
- Support managers in setting goals, providing feedback, and fostering employee growth.
- Training & Development
- Identify training needs and coordinate programs to enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the organization.
- HR Data & Reporting
- Maintain accurate employee records and generate reports on key HR metrics.
- Leverage HRIS systems for efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of HR experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of California labor laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, BambooHR).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification preferred.

Hourly Consulting rate range: $50 and $70/hr DOE
