We are currently in search of an experienced Human Resources Business Partner for our Burtonsville, MD location. The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will support the CHRO in a variety of strategic initiatives while also executing traditional HR duties. This position requires the ability to think long-term and create organizational solutions while at the same time performing the necessary front line Human Resources duties. The HRBP will play a crucial role in aligning HR strategies and practices with the overall business objectives of the organization. The HRBP will also serve as a vital role in shaping the culture, talent, and overall success of an organization. The role will support the CHRO and work to ensure HR practices and initiatives support the achievement of business objectives and the well-being of employees.
Responsibilities:- Build strong working relationships with organizational leaders, managers, and department heads to understand their goals, challenges, and HR needs
- Serve as a trusted advisor and consultant to business leaders on all HR-related matters
- Act as a liaison between the HR department and the business units to ensure alignment of HR initiatives with business goals
- Assist in the development and administration of various compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and compliance with regulations
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions
- Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees, handling employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and promoting a positive workplace culture
- Handle complex employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and investigations
- Serve as the main point of contact for the Kolmac Core Champions program, as well as other reward and recognition initiatives
- Provide guidance to managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Support the performance management process and support the coaching of managers on performance issues

- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies while staying updated on changes in employment laws and regulations
- Conduct audits and assessments to ensure HR compliance
- Support the onboarding program to ensure a smooth transition for new employees, and coordinate training and development initiatives
- Support organizational change initiatives by assisting in communication and change management strategies
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required, Master's degree preferred
- 6 + years of progressive HR experience, including experience as an HRBP or HR Manager.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strategic thinking and business acumen
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is a plus

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $87,000 a year to $100,000 a year. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, licensure, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
