- Understanding how state laws (medical or recreational marijuana) impact employment eligibility and drug testing policies is critical for implementing HR procedures that align with industry regulations, reducing risk and ensuring legal compliance.
- Familiarity with HR software platforms, such as JazzHR, is important for managing candidate pipelines, posting jobs, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and tracking candidate progress efficiently.
- Experience with HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) or payroll systems is a plus, as it helps streamline HR tasks and supports smooth recruitment processes.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for building trust with candidates and employees from diverse backgrounds. Whether conducting outreach, interviews, or explaining policies, your ability to communicate clearly and respectfully will make a significant impact in maintaining positive relationships and promoting a diverse, inclusive workplace.

- Interview Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates, working closely with hiring managers to ensure smooth logistics.
- Onboarding Support: Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all compliance documents and industry-specific certifications are collected.
- Compliance & Record-Keeping: Ensure all HR processes comply with local and state cannabis laws, maintaining accurate records in the HR system.
