Addison Group is hiring for an HR Assistant on behalf of our client, a leading industrial sheet metal contractor based in Baltimore, MD. The company operates in a hands-on, blue-collar environment and is seeking an HR Assistant to support their growing team.
Job Description:
The HR Assistant will provide crucial administrative support to the HR Manager, focusing on recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations. This role is ideal for someone eager to start their career in HR within a non-traditional, industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate HR files and records with attention to confidentiality.
- Assist with recruitment processes, including job postings and interview coordination.
- Support employee onboarding, including new hire paperwork and orientation.
- Manage routine HR administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry.
- Answer employee inquiries, directing more complex issues to the HR Manager.
- Help organize and execute company events and employee recognition initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of HR or administrative experience, including internships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a non-corporate, industrial environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in HR.
