Primary Purpose:
The Human Resource Assistant is responsible for contributing to the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource Department functions and duties. The Human Resource Assistant carries out responsibilities in the following areas: communications, recruiting, employee relations, data entry and record keeping and employee engagement/recognition.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR department, with a particular emphasis in the clerical and data-entry functions
- Support the maintenance of employee records in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) (Kronos)
- Help employees log in and navigate HRIS (Kronos)
- Assist with employee relations and engagement, retention, recognition, training, and implementation of HR policies, practices, and procedures
- Perform other job related duties as necessary and based on business needs
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- HS diploma or equivalent GED required
- Solid work history demonstrating administrative abilities and skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Data collection, data entry, and data management
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to present information to a group
- Ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Ability to work in a team environment and as a self-starter
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be willing to successfully complete a pre-employment background check
- Must be willing to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in administrative and/or customer service
Work Conditions:
- Work is typically performed under good conditions
- Office setting within a manufacturing facility
- Exposure to weather/elements when moving between buildings onsite
- Safety shoes, safety glasses and/or hearing protection required where posted in the facilities
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Scheduled hours may fluctuate depending upon workload
- Overtime is offered, based on business needs
