Position Summary
An exempt, professional position responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the HR department and ensuring that all HR policies and procedures are followed including but not limited to onboarding/offboarding, all employee benefit programs, and general human resource matters. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: heavy recruitment, new hire onboarding, HRIS data entry, prepare a variety of workforce reports, performance reviews, training, and compliance. The ideal candidate for this role must be versatile, have a sense of urgency, the ability to multi-task and be able to switch gears quickly.
Reports To: Human Resource Director
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruitment: Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, and prescreening/interviewing potential candidates.
- Conduct new employee orientations and onboarding: Creating onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and PTO time.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations Processes and administers all leave-of absence requests and disability paperwork.
- Effectively interprets and explains FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Assist with retention of employees, strategies to motivate employees.
- Manage AAAI’s employee database & prepare KPI reports.
- Document Generation: drafting official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary slips, and warning letters.
- Working with outside vendors, upper management, and employees to maintain all AAAI locations with the necessary items. (IT equipment).
- Stay up to date with HR trends and best practices.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned by manager/director
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, practices, and procedures

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of recruiting practices.
- Knowledge of the I-9 employment verification process
- Knowledge of record retention schedules
- Must be a self-starter
- Strong knowledge of compensation salary review and/or analysis
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Skilled in HRIS data entry for accuracy and completeness.
- Accurate data entry skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Good communication skills with both internal and external customers.
- Good organization skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Ability to understand and interpret policies and regulations.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or related field.
Experience
Minimum 2+years’ experience in human resources, preferably in health care industry.
Experience in conducting successful recruitment procedures. 3 years of experience as a full-time recruiter (required).
Other Requirements
Occasional travel is required to various AAAI centers
Working Conditions
The position is in a well-lit office environment. Occasional evening and weekend work. Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day, walking, or standing the remainder. Equipment operated will be standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
