YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Human Resource Partner, Crop Science, are to:

As our HR Partner, you’ll partner with leaders to design organizations, manage employee relations, enhance performance, engage employees, coach leaders, develop talent, and plan the workforce. Reporting to the Site HR Head, you’ll implement human resource strategies and tactics to support a world-class manufacturing facility in the heart of the Midwest.
- Lead and Coordinate: Provide leadership and coordination for Human Resource activities;
- Consult and Solve: Be the trusted advisor to our client groups, anticipating their needs and crafting realistic, business-aligned solutions;
- Business Translator: Dive deep into the business, translating its needs and challenges into actionable HR initiatives;
- Policy Guru: Implement and champion Bayer HR directives, policies, and programs, striving for best practices and alignment with business needs;
- Workforce Planner: Develop and monitor workforce plans, partnering with recruiting and hiring managers to make key staffing decisions;
- Talent Magnet: Execute local Talent Management initiatives to attract, identify, assess, and develop talent, ensuring a robust pipeline;
- Development Coach: Support management in crafting employee development plans;
- Performance Guide: Provide direction on performance management, improvement plans, and progressive discipline;
- Career Architect: Partner with client groups to develop career paths, align operations with strategic directions, and ensure consistency;
- HR Communicator: Effectively communicate HR products, services, and policies, highlighting their impact on business strategies;
- Legal Collaborator: Work closely with Legal to ensure compliance with employment laws and Bayer policies;
- Change Champion: Support and execute organizational changes from an HR perspective;
- Role Model: Embody Bayer VACC (Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach) behaviors;
- Analytical Thinking: Leverage data and HR dashboards to influence decision making;
- Project Support: Provide special project support to HR, employees, and leaders as needed.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree;
- Coaching & Influence: Strong coaching skills and the ability to influence without authority;
- Independence: Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision in a fast pace and ambiguous environment;
- Employee Relations: Proven ability to manage complex employee relations issues;
- HR Knowledge: Ability to apply HR knowledge to resolve complex business challenges;
- Organizational Redesign: Experience in managing and implementing large organizational redesigns;
- HR Expertise: In-depth knowledge of HR processes, programs, policies, and systems;
- Project Management: Experience in multi-disciplinary project management and change management;
- Global Experience: Experience working in a global environment and matrix organization is a plus;
- Adaptability: Ability to effectively deal with ambiguity and change; comfortable with uncertainty;
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to employees at all levels;
- Investigations: Experience in performing employee relations and investigations;
- Travel: Willingness to travel to other locations (~10%).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ years of HR experience, including roles as HR Business Partner/Generalist/Specialist;
- Experience supporting manufacturing or supply chain is a plus;
- Experience working in a Union environment highly desirable.
