Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced Human Resource (HR) manager (7+ years) to lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices for a new business organization. The HR manager will collaborate with the management team to implement HR initiatives in line with the organization’s strategic objectives.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
- Create HR strategy including recruiting, training, compensation, retention and others for all employees based on market research; keeps the strategy up to date
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes a competitive base to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Provides support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other employees when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.

- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HR policy and management systems.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development
- A minimum of seven years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions
- Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations, preferred.
