We have over 1.7 million square feet of warehouse space, strategically located throughout the US to provide our clients the ability to easily service their customers. Our warehouses are located in Los Angeles, CA; N. Monroe, NJ; Portland, OR; Houston and Laredo TX.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with senior leadership to understand and implement the organization’s staffing, recruiting, and retention strategies.
- Leads the execution of policies, processes, and initiatives to support HR compliance and business needs.
- Administers HR programs, including compensation, benefits, payroll, leave, and performance management.
- Acts as the main point of contact for union-related issues, including contract interpretation, negotiations, grievances, and labor relations.
- Facilitates the integration of benefits, HRIS, and HR policies across the organization to ensure consistency and alignment.
- Provides guidance and resolution for employee disputes and disciplinary actions in compliance with union agreements and company policies.
- Oversees internal investigations related to employee conduct or disputes, ensuring fair and timely resolution.
- Manages employee onboarding, offboarding, and professional development, ensuring a smooth transition for all personnel changes.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and union agreements, recommending policy updates as necessary.
- Prepares and manages the HR budget for the office, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in labor relations and demonstrated ability to work effectively with unionized employees.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate negotiations and sensitive discussions.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws and union-related regulations.
- Proficiency in HRIS, payroll, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- At least five years of HR management experience, with a minimum of two years in a unionized work environment.
- Certification such as SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is highly preferred.
