About the Job
We are currently seeking an HR Generalist to join our team and help make a lasting impression on the lives of the children and families we serve.
SCHEDULE
Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
LOCATION
Hybrid - 2 days remote / 3 days in office Located in Miami, FL

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources or related field.
- 2-5 years experience in Human Resources
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, preferred
- Strong labor law and compliance knowledge: EEO, ADA, ADEA, HIPAA, GINA, FMLA, FLSA (DOL), NLRA, USERRA, OWBPA, I-9's, etc.
- Strong MS Office Suite knowledge.
- Excellent Excel Skills.
- HRIS experience
- Ability to build rapport with all employees.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- In collaboration with HR Business Partners, consult with managers and staff regarding employee relations concerns, including corrective action, workplace disputes, and facilitation of resolution of issues between management and staff.
- Works closely with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure new employees receive excellent service upon hire and during onboarding.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
- Drive process excellence by continuously looking for opportunities to operate efficiently and effectively.
- Prepare and maintain various Human Resources records including employee files, new hire paperwork,
I-9s, etc.
- Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
- Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
