Human Resource Generalist
Manufacturing company in Greenville, NC is looking to add a Human Resources Generalist to their team. This position will have growth opportunity in a growing manufacturing company. Plan and administers policies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties. This covers a wide range of operations of functions including Recruiting/Onboarding, Benefits, and Training, Administer HR policies, procedures and programs. Must be able to vet vendors for all insurances, health testing, and related programs to the Human Resources area. Must have the knowledge and able to work with Government, Federal, State, County and city officials. Oversees Safety Program, Initiatives and training
This is a Direct Hire with a salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 based on experience with excellent benefits. This position is located in Greenville NC.
2-3 years administration experience
Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
Assist Human Resource Manager in creating and monitoring Employee Training Programs
Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and testing, employees to fill vacant positions.
Assist Human Resource Manager in planning and conducting new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
Coordinates management and production training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
Responds to employee problems with insurance matters.
Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relation's issues. Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
Assist Human Resource Manager in creating and Administering performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
Assist Human Resource Manager in creating and Administering salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization.
Creates and Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension
plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
Responsible for administration of forms and filing of disciplinary actions and terminations as well as record keeping of probationary periods, and any probationary disciplinary action probationary periods
Assist Human Resource Manager along with Plant Manager in investigating accidents
Prepares reports for insurance carrier and State or Federal Representative as needed
Prepare Worker's Compensation reporting as needed
Assist with Occupational Safety and Health Inspections
Provides and or Administer all Basic Safety Programs and training in accordance with OSHA
Conducts wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate.
Process and maintain enrollment documentation for benefits and enrollment processes. Coordinate enrollment processes with managers and employees. Assist in benefits administration by tracking benefit information and informing insurance carriers of any changes, additions or deletions, approve invoice as they come in
Prepares budget of human resources operations
Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover. Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Employment Security Commission
Attains required information for VISA applications and other documentation for foreign nationals
Contracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services, such as temporary agencies, events or, Health Testing, Drug Screening, Back Ground Checking and others as needed.
Assist employees and managers with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee's records and information .
