Wayside Women's Treatment Center provides residential substance use disorder and mental health treatment services for women who face the greatest challenges of achieving long-term sobriety. Residential treatment includes addressing substance use and mental health disorders and wraparound services including housing, health, employment, and parenting.
Wayside Family Treatment Center maintains the family unit by welcoming women who are pregnant and mothers with children into treatment to prevent separation. We receive services for addiction, parenting, understanding how their alcohol or substance use contributes to Adverse Childhood Experiences, and improving their relationship skills to ultimately break the generational transmission of risk.
Wayside Wellness Outpatient Center provides outpatient, intensive outpatient, and preventative care of women. Our programming meets the needs of women at any stage of their journey.
What you will do:

Compensation: $70,000-$85,0000 per year
Schedule:
Hybrid work arrangement. Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, day-time hours.

What you will do:
- Work as a one-person HR department.
- Coordinate recruitment process for qualified and diverse staff, with supervisors, by providing job description templates, advising on job descriptions and announcements, and posting through recruiting software and other applicable job boards.
- Complete all pre-employment requirements including background and driving checks, TB tests, and paperwork for new hires, interns, contractors, and volunteers (as applicable).
- Assist staff with DHS background disqualification reconsideration process.
- Responsible for new hire onboarding process including new hire paperwork.
- Provide benefit information to eligible new hires.
- Coordinate and process all new/current/termed employee benefits/insurance coverage with insurance broker.
- Review benefits and make recommendations on new benefit offerings, work with insurance brokers on annual insurance renewal process.
- Process open enrollment benefits including updating in the payroll software.
- Collaborate with the Director of Training regarding onboarding and DHS/245G compliance training.
- Prepare and maintain personnel files.
- Monitor and prepare monthly employee and supervisor notices regarding performance reviews. Follow-up with supervisors on outstanding reviews.
- Provide support and oversight of claims related to Disability, FMLA unemployment and worker’s compensation, and maintain documentation.
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership around HR policies, procedures, concerns, etc.
- Provide materials and trainings for staff on employee benefits, organization policies and supervisor responsibilities.
- Maintain Employee Handbook to comply with regulatory changes and organizational needs and preferences.
- Gather, research, and analyze data for use in statistical calculations and reporting in order to meet federal and state requirements, including creating workforce analysis reports.
- Advise supervisors on personnel issues, including staff performance evaluations and performance problems.
- Ensure the effective execution of workforce planning, compensation, performance management, employee development, recruiting and attrition management.
- Setup new hires in payroll software, including benefit deductions.
- Enter employee changes in payroll software for semi-monthly processing.

Sound like a good fit? A few requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or public relations.
- Minimum five years of experience in human resources or related role.
- Experience working with HRIS and payroll software.
- Knowledge and experience with Office 365.
- Energetic, forward-thinking, and creative with high ethical standards
- Strong attention to detail required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to pass a Minnesota DHS background study.
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle check – no DUIs within the last 3 years.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- SHRM-CP or PHR preferred.
- Non-profit experience preferred.
- Minnesota Statute 245G knowledge and experience.
