Responsibilities
- Executive Collaboration:
- Actively participate as a member of the Executive Management Team.
- Confer, consult, collaborate, and communicate to support organizational goals.
- Payroll and Benefits Administration:
- Oversee the weekly payroll process.
- Manage benefits administration, including annual open enrollment and quarterly utilization reviews.
- Serve as a trustee for the 401(k) plan, conducting quarterly trustee reviews.
- HR Operations:
- Lead the administration of position classifications, job descriptions, recruitment, onboarding, and employee retention initiatives.
- Direct training programs, performance reviews, safety protocols, and fair employment practices.
- Conduct exit interviews for departing employees and recommend personnel policy revisions as needed.
- Compliance and Records Management:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local HR laws, including the Maricopa County Trip Reduction Program.
- Maintain accurate and legally compliant personnel files and company records.
- Policy Development:
- Develop, update, and maintain the Employee Handbook and personnel policies.
- Create and implement company goals, objectives, and HR-related policies and procedures.
- Employee Relations:
- Act as the chief negotiator for employee concerns, resolving complaints, problems, and grievances.
- Foster teamwork, communication, and a positive workplace culture.
- Special Projects:
- Conduct wage surveys, special studies, and investigative meetings. Prepare reports and provide actionable recommendations.
- Attend meetings, conferences, workshops, and seminars as required.

- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
