About the Job
The Human Resource Associate is responsible for assisting in HR- related duties on a professional level and will work closely with the Human Resources Manager. This job will involve providing help in implementing services, policies, and programs that promote a safe, positive work environment and promote the recruitment and development of our workforce. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment/employment, training, onboarding, policy implementation, benefits, employee relations, payroll, employee law compliance and fostering a healthy work culture.
The pay rate is $26-$29 per hour. This position is 100% on-site.

Assists with the following Performance Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day operations of the HR Department
- Development of HR processes, policies, and systems
- Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
- Assist HR Manager in policy formulation, hiring and salary administration
- Perform payroll functions, ensuring accurate payment of wages
- Maintains employee data in the HRIS system for both new and existing employees
- Annual open enrollment communications
- Ensure smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their queries
- Submit online job postings, shortlist candidates and scheduled job interviews
- Recruitment includes coordinating with the hiring managers to determine recruiting needs.
- Coordinate orientation and training sessions for new employees
- Provide operations support on issues such as talent and performance management
What we are looking for:
- A bachelor's degree in human resources management or a related field of study
- 1-2 years of previous work experience in an HR role, with some knowledge of principles and practices of human resources administration and emphasis on recruitment.
- PHR and/or SHRM certification, or willingness to work toward certification.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, follow-up, problem solving and creative thinking skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Self-motivated, team player with excellent people skills.
- High level of discretion with confidential material
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize and work successfully both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Exceptional ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
- Keen ability to connect easily with others and create positive positioning within a context or subject matter.
- Technologically savvy, with high proficiency in all Microsoft Office and HRIS programs.
- Demonstrated success in interfacing with a variety of organizational functions and divisions to accomplish tasks.
