The Human Capital Tax Specialist will serve as a subject matter practice leader and advice on global Tax consulting engagements, focus on assisting our professionals and clients with a variety of employee payroll, and global mobility tax related issues, including those arising from recent legislation and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Address, research, and consult on complex technical issues specific to employee payroll, compensation/executive compensation, benefits, global mobility taxes, etc.
- Provide timely and creative response to complex technical inquiries to the delivery team
- Facilitate and conduct workshop relating to global mobility matters.
- Provide thought leadership in the business and tax community
- Work closely with partners, managers, and staff to integrate practice development and client service.
- Bachelor's degree in a related subject area.
- Licensed CPA or Attorney designation is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in global mobility tax matters, employee payroll, benefits and/or compensation, preferably with a large accounting firm or major consulting firm.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.
- Ability to translate the business requirement into functional knowledge to help design and develop IT solution
- Validate the Software product against the original requirement
- Be an authority in his/her area of specialization
- Analyze the existing systems and highlight areas of improvement from a functional point of view
- Analyze and decompose complex requirements in the areas of Tax calculations, Global Tax implications etc
- Perform gap analysis and recommend solutions
- Fulfill the role of a subject matter expert in requirement elicitation
- Document
- Oversee the development of the product as per the specifications
- Facilitate change and configuration management
- Monitor performance, Client variances and propose necessary actions.
