Hull & Fiber Sales / Logistics Coordinator

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for managing the Hull & Fiber Supply Chain from production source through its end users to include four different shelling plants in addition to multiple different hull products as well as other processing tasks to ensure efficient business operations.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Efficient communications with GPC shelling plants to assist in aligning customer needs with current shelling schedules
+ Required interactions to include, but not limited to: customers, brokers, freight companies, GPC accounting, GPC shelling, etc.
+ Assembly of weekly hull shipment schedules to include coverage for all four GPC shelling locations along with freight arrangements on delivered loads
+ Management of any changes, alterations, cancellations, etc. that may arise from customers or freight carriers
+ Management of detentions or any other non-standard freight related charges
+ Communication of schedules and any alterations of the schedule with the GPC shelling locations scales and management
+ Creation of shipping orders within the IBM system
+ Assistance with contracting and ensuring fulfillment of those contracts
+ Understanding customer needs and ensuring those are met to the best of our ability
+ Assist with BOL paperwork for Headland shipments at the scale house or any other scaling needs
+ Backup for other H&F dept. employees when necessary
Job Requirements:
+ Two years of experience working with shipments, shipping documents, or related areas is preferred
+ Basic understanding of manufacturing and marketing processes
+ Good verbal and written skills
+ Ability to use Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, and other computer-based applications
+ Ability to learn and operate GPC/ADMs IBM computer software
+ ‘Team player’ mindset is required
