This position is considered to be Fully Onsite, work is to be done onsite at a PetSmart location (Phoenix Home Office, PetSmart stores, Merchandise Development Center, Distribution Centers or another PetSmart site).
About the Job:The HRIS Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining our Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) to ensure data integrity, security, and efficiency. This role involves collaborating with various departments to support HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee data management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR processes and systems, and excellent analytical skills. The HRIS Coordinator will also be responsible for generating reports, analyzing data, and providing insights to support decision-making. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for system improvements and implementing best practices. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data security.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for performing the following activities:
- Mange workflow for all employees within SAP HCM; ensuring updates are processed timely by auditing and approving employee level data change requests. Work to ensure the accuracy of HR records and the integrity of HR data sources.
- Process and audit general payroll deductions.
- Create and execute audit queries and reports in the time and attendance system including edits to timekeeping records.
- Execute and maintain policies and practices for overpayment of wages.
- Update and maintain employee level data in HCM SAP for Light Duty programs.
- Serve as a liaison between the HRIS and Legal department to collect, analyze, and collate HR data for reporting requests through Service Now.
- Process Employee Expense reimbursements for associates across the business utilizing Service Now and SAP HCM; as well as responding to inquiries regarding employee expense reimbursements through a dedicated email box
- Support Motus data updates and understand the process of monthly Motus payments.
- Support our company giving campaigns from an IS perspective by working with our charity partners.
- The ability to run reports, analyze data and update associate’s records accordingly.
- Maintain knowledge of functional area and company policies and procedures.
- Review and maintain current HRIS department processes for efficiency and evaluate, test, and implement new or revised processes.
- Develop and deliver training on HR systems and procedures when necessary for the end user.
- Participation in projects and testing as assigned.
- Understand data privacy laws and compliance standards.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate degree or higher preferred with 1 – 3 years of related experience working in a HRIS Department or equivalent combination of education and experience.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Strong understanding of HR processes and systems.
- Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations.
- Proficiency in HRIS software (e.g. SAP HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, Service Now, Kronos/UKG, Cadient).
- SAP HCM system knowledge to complete various transactional requests.
- Kronos/UKG system knowledge of timekeeping and reporting including state specific regulations for meal breaks and overtime rules.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Experience in Service Now or similar ticket system.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as Adobe Acrobat and other commonly used applications.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills. Including a proactive approach to identifying and solving issues.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
- Ability to apply rigor in understanding downstream impacts and co-dependencies of HCM SAP workflow.
- Ability to manage a dedicated email box; with responses within 24 hours.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality, ability to handle sensitive information, excellent work ethic, and professional behavior.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize workload effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule.
