Title: HRIS Application Developer
Location: Hybrid, Northeastern Region
Description:
The HRIS Application Developer will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining HR systems to streamline processes, improve data management, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role involves working with functional and technical teams to develop, test, and troubleshoot HR systems, ensuring smooth operations and continuous enhancements. The developer will focus on both front-end and back-end development while integrating systems to support HR functionalities efficiently.
Major Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain HR software applications and related databases.
Provide ongoing support and enhancements for HR systems, including workforce management, benefits, payroll, and compensation functionalities.
Collaborate with HR teams to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
Ensure secure and efficient handling of sensitive HR data with appropriate controls and encryption.
Implement updates, patches, and system enhancements while ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure a seamless user experience.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and operational guides.
Collaborate with IT teams, HR managers, and end-users to ensure system adoption and successful implementations.
Stay current with emerging HR technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
Perform impact analysis, unit testing, and application development to maintain system quality and standards.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent technical training and experience.
3–5 years of experience developing and maintaining HR systems using relevant tools.
Proficiency in database management systems, particularly SQL.
Experience with scripting languages or front-end tools such as HTML, JavaScript, XML, or similar technologies.
Familiarity with HR processes, data security protocols, and compliance standards.
Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology.
Experience working with sensitive HR data, ensuring compliance and security best practices.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of additional HR platforms and tools.
Experience with SuccessFactors or similar HR systems.
Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages.
Understanding of SOX compliance requirements for HR systems.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Compensation:
Pay range: $73.5k-$105k/year
