About the Job
This role involves supporting and maintaining the organization's Human Resource Information System (HRIS) applications and modules. The position requires performing support, configuration, and large volume data entry tasks in time, attendance, and leave management systems. The individual will handle back-end data and configuration work and manage mailboxes with customer requests and inquiries for systems access and other inquiries.
Expected Duration
The initial contract is issued through the remainder of the year, with potential extension for another 6-12 months based on performance.
Background Check
Candidates must undergo a specific background check process in addition to the standard procedure. Additional onboarding time should be expected.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Arrangement
The selected candidate will need to report to the office as needed for meetings, with a flexible teleworking arrangement unless performance issues arise.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support HRIS unit with large volume data entry in time and attendance systems and human capital management systems.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HR system users.
- Manage permissions, access, and personalization for HR system users.
- Manage mailboxes with customer requests and inquiries for access and other needs.
- Audit and update HRIS data fields as necessary.
- Program custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, and reports.
- Compile or assist with the acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs for senior executives and HR staff.
- Ensure system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
- Collaborate with HR staff and vendors to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommend and implement solutions.
- Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology.
- Perform other duties as required.

- Thorough understanding of all areas of information systems with a highly technical understanding of at least one commercial HRIS product.
Education and Experience
- At least two years of related experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, human resource management, or related field preferred.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged typing (repetitive movements of the hands and wrists).
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
