Your Impact
The HRBP Leader will serve as a strategic partner to three of Axon's top executives- EVP People, EVP Marketing, and the Chief Legal Officer. This individual will provide leadership to these key executives and their organizations across a broad spectrum of HR disciplines including Talent Development, Org Effectiveness, Executive Coaching, Compensation, and Employee Relations. To be successful in this role you must understand organizational priorities and translate those into a talent strategy that enables the business to scale. You must leverage your global expertise and continuous improvement mindset, in order to build the foundational infrastructure required for our global People Operations function to scale. You will leverage data, critical thinking, and problem solving skills to influence business leaders and deliver solutions which drive higher performance, retention and motivation across teams at all levels of the organization.
What You'll Do
Location: Boston, Seattle or Scottsdale Office
Reports to: EVP, People Operations
- Partner with key business stakeholders and other HRBP Leaders, to provide localized support to teams across Axon.
- Identify & analyze gaps across the talent lifecycle, and through strong root-cause analysis, design & execute simple, high-quality solutions which enable the business to scale.
- Build credibility as a Subject Matter Expert and influential HR leader within the organization you support.
- Demonstrate an ability to be proactive, hands-on, and balance the demands between strategic thinking and tactical execution.
- Through collaboration and partnership, drive the execution of new People Operations programs and processes that align with your organization's talent strategies
- Use data to inspect and assess the health of your organization. Through storytelling, leverage data to identify and align your leaders on talent strategies that increase employee motivation and retention
- Identify and execute opportunities to simplify, refine and scale global processes
- Partner effectively within a matrix business partner organization to align and deliver on global talent priorities
- Develop a reputation of operational excellence and as a creative problem-solver who delivers innovative solutions without significant resource allocation.
- Coach and develop executive leaders, raising their ability to lead large global organizations at scale
- Lead the annual HR efforts for the Marketing, People and Legal orgs relating to talent and performance management, compensation management, strategic workforce and succession planning and leadership development for respective client groups
- Proactive and self-starter; approaches responsibilities with a thoughtful and appropriate sense of urgency - operates with a sense of responsiveness to the business and for the business and accustomed to working in a lean, dynamic organization where everyone roles their sleeves up
What You Bring
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 10 years of HR Business Partner or similar relevant experience including 3+ years leading teams
- Experience developing global solutions in high-growth, fast-paced organizations operating at scale
- Project Management and execution skills
- Strong Problem-solving, critical thinking, and root-cause analysis skills
- Ability to build trust with leaders and managers at all levels of the organization
- Dealing with ambiguity and constantly changing priorities
- Strong use of Excel and other analytical skills
- Intellectual curiosity and a track-record of continuous learning
- Strong communication and influence skills
- Coaching and Consulting Skills
- Employee Relations Experience

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD $162,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD $259,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
