Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated Workers' Compensation Specialist to join their client's team in California. Restaurant industry experience required. Spanish speaking preferred. This role requires a knowledgeable professional who can effectively manage claims, ensure compliance, and support employees through the workers' compensation process.
Responsibilities:
- Claims Management:
- Process and file workers' compensation claims promptly.
- Investigate workplace incidents, gather detailed reports, and determine claim validity.
- Communicate with injured employees, managers, and insurance adjusters regarding claims.
- Compliance:
- Ensure all claims and processes comply with state and federal workers' compensation regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for auditing and legal purposes.
- Employee Support:
- Coordinate with medical providers to ensure employees receive appropriate treatment.
- Communication & Coordination:
- Serve as the main point of contact for workers' compensation-related inquiries.
- Collaborate with HR, management, and training teams to address workplace safety concerns.
- Notify managers of work restrictions or accommodations required for injured employees.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Risk Management.
- 2+ years of experience in workers' compensation, claims handling, or risk management.
- Experience working in a corporate office, preferably in the restaurant industry.
Work Hours:
Monday - Friday, first shift.
Salary:
Minimum pay is $35 per hour, with a maximum of $42 per hour.
