OVERVIEW:
General Mills is seeking an HR Reporting Services Leader to join our dynamic HR Employee Shared Services team. This position will be responsible for leading a global team that provides operational reporting and dashboards and supports the data security and data governance in Workday, ServiceNow, and Tableau. This includes ensuring quality and consistent data and metrics are leveraged in reporting and working with stakeholders to ensure a pipeline of value-added reporting deliverables is available to the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Operations & People Management
- Manage a global team of Workday report developers to deliver a pipeline of value-added operational reporting and visualizations.
- Guide team members in developing and maintaining visualizations and dashboards in Tableau and ServiceNow.
- Provide individualized coaching and direction to team members and lead annual talent processes for the reporting team.
- Oversee the reporting team’s operations to ensure requests from the business are managed effectively while upholding reporting strategy and governance.
- Leverage and monitor performance metrics to ensure timely turnaround time, positive customer satisfaction, and operational efficiencies.
Data Governance & Partnerships
- Lead HR data governance efforts and partner with other teams in the HR data space to ensure data is secured, metric definitions are standardized, and usage is documented.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional HR data teams, including HR Analytics, ATS reporting, and LMS reporting, to ensure data consistency, alignment, and seamless integration of reports and visualizations across systems and tools.
- Partner with Compliance and Legal to complete governmental and mandated reporting for the HR space.
Technology & Tools
- Deeply understand the data and how business processes influence data to ensure the right data is leveraged in deliverables.
- Lead the optimization of Workday functionality and suite of tools to maximize ROI and deliver value-add solutions to stakeholders and end users.
- Ensure Workday bi-annual releases are evaluated for impact and desired functionality is incorporated into reporting.
- Develop and deliver reporting training content and supporting documentation as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED and 3+ years of Workday Reporting experience.
- Ability to deliver Workday reporting: Advanced, Matrix, nBox, Trending, Composite, Calculated Fields. Knowledge and experience with Discovery Boards, Worksheets, and the Drive Suite.
- Must have excellent sound judgment and discretion regarding the handling of confidential information.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to assess situations and collaborate effectively to reach desired outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; ability to influence various stakeholders.
- Highly self-motivated, self-starter who is able to navigate ambiguity and drive with a continuous improvement mindset to think about how things can be done differently.
- Strong business acumen and deep working knowledge of HCM concepts, best practices, and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Human Resources, or related discipline.
- 1+ year of People Management experience with proven ability to coach, develop and lead people.
- Proven analytical/critical thinking skills demonstrating the candidate’s ability to interpret data, extract insight, and tell the story to influence decisions.
- Highly self-motivated, self-starter able to navigate ambiguity.
- Knowledge of Workday Prism preferred.
