About the Job
General Purpose:
Responsible for the management and administration of GLOCK external training programs to enhance employee skills and overall quality of work; identify department/staff training and developmental needs, plan, organize and track employee training in unification with approved budget.
Shift:
- 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday (onsite)
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Collaborate with management to identify and assess external training and development needs through surveys, interviews with employees and/or consultations with managers, for each occupied position and for each new position.
- Collaborate with management on annually updating job descriptions to ensure that each accurately reflects the position and the training requirements and to assist in training designation for employees.
- Work within departmental training budgets, coordinates all procurement of external training needs.
- Effectively maintain current and complete records of employee training schedule, notification, registration, level of performance, class participation, etc., and makes such records accessible by their supervisors.
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on training activities and drive continuous improvement plans.
- Research and recommend new sources and methods of learning.
- Responsible for Onboarding new employees and temporary workers:
- Organize and conduct new hire orientations.
- Ensure all forms are completed and signed, including I-9 and E-verify.
- Review of GLOCK benefits package for FTE.
- Administer 30, 60, 90, etc. new-hire feedback evaluations.
- Work with management as necessary to address any feedback concerns.
- Organize and conduct new employee/temp worker meetings on GLOCK history and company culture.
- Coordinate and ensure employees receive annual compliance training.
- Track training compliance and advise Managers where gaps exist; ensure compliance is maintained.
- Evaluate external training and conduct due diligence to ensure that the assigned training is appropriate and effective. Department or internal training is the responsibility of the department manager.
- Survey employees to evaluate instructor and training effectiveness; make recommendations for any adjustments, including other options.
- Administer Succession Planning.
- Administer the Tuition Reimbursement Program.
- Ensure HR Team training is maintained and current.
- Ensure training budget compliance for each department.
- Update AX and/or HRIT systems to ensure current information is available.
- Perform periodic audits of training records.
- Seek process improvements.

Education and/or Experience:
Associates in Human Resources or related field; or two+ years of experience in lieu of education, or a combination of education and experience. |
Licenses and Certifications:
PHR/SHRM-CP and ATD and/or ISPI certifications preferred, but not required. |
Valid Driver’s License |

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use fingers/hands to operate a keyboard to enter data into computer while sitting at a desk and for other office equipment; regular walking and standing and is able to listen to others. The employee is occasionally required to lift and carry boxes up to 40 pounds.
Work Environment:
The work environment primarily requires the employee to work inside in a climate controlled administrative office setting and dress business casual in accordance with the GLOCK Employment Policy Handbook. Employee will work regularly scheduled shifts within the department’s hours of operation and may be asked to work overtime and weekends, when needed for special assignments or programs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but may require some work outside of these hours and occasional weekend work.
