Umpqua Health is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR Specialist, Total Rewards to join our dynamic team. This individual will be responsible for managing payroll, benefits, compensation, leave, and discount programs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of at least three years in a similar role and will possess a deep understanding of payroll processes, benefits administration, and compensation strategies.
Your Impact
- Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.
- Coordinate open enrollment periods and provide guidance to employees on benefit options.
- Maintain relationships with benefit providers and ensure timely processing of benefit claims and changes.
- Conduct benefits orientation for new hires and ensure ongoing communication about benefits programs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of compensation strategies and structures.
- Administer leave programs including FMLA, disability, and other employee leaves of absence.
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements regarding leave policies.
- Manage employee discount programs and ensure they are communicated effectively to staff.
- Monitor program usage and employee satisfaction.
- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Analyze compensation data to ensure competitive pay practices and assist in salary benchmarking.
- Participate in the development of total rewards communication materials for employees.
- Conduct regular audits of total rewards programs to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
- Provide support for various HR projects as needed, related to employee rewards and recognition.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to help drive our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Organization's Values.
Your Credentials
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll, benefits, and compensation administration.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations regarding payroll and benefits.
- Proficiency with payroll and HRIS systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
