We work with people at home, work, and in the community through residential, employment, crisis response, recovery, behavioral, children's services, and day services. Our corporate office in Fort Wayne, IN is hiring an HR & Legal Projects Coordinator to assist with the administration of benefits, various leave programs, and assisting the policy review committee with managing the review and distribution of policies and lead projects in the legal department.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Human Resources. The position will be responsible for completing the following HR tasks. The list is not all inclusive.
a. Assist in tracking leave of absences, etc.
b. Coordinate the notification of LOA and FMLA with employees, HR, and managers
c. Complete benefit portability notifications
d. Collect outstanding benefit premiums
e. Support benefit enrollment
Other
a. Report any suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation immediately to supervisor or department head.
b. Attend and participate in human resources, legal, and compliance meetings as needed or assigned
c. Comply with all standards to assure the health and safety of all individuals.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a support capacity with management and employees
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Ability to balance time effectively between multiple departments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Working knowledge of Paylocity and HighQ software is preferred
- Must have the ability to follow a schedule to meet the staffing needs of various departments
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working in an HR and / or legal department is preferred
