About the Job
The HR Specialist at The Learning Tree ABA will support the Human Resources department by focusing on employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and other HR functions. This role ensures that HR processes run smoothly and that employees receive the guidance and support they need to succeed in their roles.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and general inquiries.
- Assist in resolving employee concerns and escalate complex issues to the HR Manager.
Compliance and Record-Keeping:
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Accurately manage and update employee records and HR documentation.
- Support internal audits and ensure proper documentation retention.
Benefits Administration:
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and address questions about benefit offerings.
- Communicate updates or changes to benefits programs to staff.
HR Support and Administration:
- Provide administrative support for HR initiatives, including generating reports and processing documentation.
- Help ensure smooth execution of employee-related processes, including timekeeping and payroll adjustments.
Training and Development:
- Assist with the coordination of employee training sessions and track participation.
- Maintain records of training and development activities.
Event Coordination:
- Help plan and execute staff appreciation events and other HR-led activities.
- Promote initiatives to enhance employee engagement and morale.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of HR experience preferred.
- Knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software systems.
