Remedy is excited to support a very well-respected manufacturer in the Erie, PA area as they embark on an important search for a skilled HR Services Coordinator! Internally known as a Medical/HR Services Coordinator, this person will interact with the hourly/union workforce on a daily basis and is responsible for the plant’s medical services including on-site first aid clinic, the oversight of Plant First Responders and providing support for Occupational Health/Workers’ Comp/FMLA/STD administration etc. Below are more great details for your consideration!

This Medical/HR Services Coordinator will be response for the following functions:
- Coordinates the administration/management of injury, disability, claims management services, FMLA, ADA, Workers Compensation and Leave of Absence, fitness for duty, Wellness and medical surveillance programs.
- Consults with and coordinates information flow between third party administrators, physicians and internal/external resources
- Provides information and recommendations to management and employees on issues pertaining to medical services, ergonomics, disability management, group and federally mandated benefits, and other policies and procedures.
- Resolves routine problems and responds to questions about medical, workers compensation and human resources policies and procedures.
- Coordinates data collection and maintains employee medical, personnel and training files
- Oversees the plant’s First Responder program and conducts training/maintains records as required,
- Assists in the coordination of various information and communications about benefits, hourly compensation, employee relations, training and development and other programs for salaried and hourly personnel.
- Implements and evaluates health promotion programs and promotes health awareness
- Prepares and maintains medical records and reports required internally and by OSHA and other government agencies
We are actively seeking skilled medical/HR professionals with the following background profile:
- A certificate program or degree in nursing (LPN/AND/RN) and 2 - 5 years’ experience in nursing is desired.
- At least 3-5 years of knowledge and experience in dealing with occupational illness/injury and wellness programs, including administrative skills in workers’ compensation and claims management.
- Certified First Aid, CPR and AED Instructor; certified in Workplace Wellness and Health Promotion designations are preferred.
- Knowledge of or experience in the principles and practices of Human Resources administration, and at least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in HR administration is required.
- Knowledge of State and Federal employment and workers compensation laws and regulations.
- Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office products) and HRIS administrative and recordkeeping experience.
This is a very unique and VERY critical role to the operations of this manufacturer. We ideally need an LPN but are open to those with a very strong Occupational Health and Wellness background with demonstrated experience managing/administering/performing all duties as described above.
