The HR Program Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a number of HR programs aimed at enhancing the employee experience, fostering a positive workplace culture, and supporting the overall strategic goals of the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven background in project management, communication, and a passion for creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture.This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration, buy-in, and support of people programs across different business units. This role will have a key partnership with HR Business Partners who will help scale and educate our workforce on various programs. This position is a hybrid position, with the expectation of being in the office two to three days per week.

Responsibilities:- Employee Engagement: Design and execute our annual engagement survey, own and execute on company-wide action plans, track onboard and exit survey results, ultimately working to boost employee engagement, motivation, experiences, and satisfaction.
- Talent Development: Oversee the design and implementation of talent development programs including the Mentorship Program, Manager Training, Employee Development Plans, and work with managers and HR Business Partners to identify skill gaps and implement targeted development plans.
- Employee Resource Groups (ERGs): Offer support to ERG co-leaders, members, and executive sponsors to ensure groups are achieving goals and connecting back to the business needs.
- Performance Management: Collaborate with HR Business Partners to enhance our performance management process, feedback cadence, and create tools to assist managers with performance improvement conversations.
- Manager Training: Lead, scale, track, and enhance, people manager training sessions in partnership with HR Business Partners and other members of the HR Department to ensure our leaders are equipped to lead their teams effectively.
- Compliance Training: Create and implement an annual training cadence across multiple states ensuring the appropriate training is assigned and tracked.
- Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion: Partner with the VP, HR, to promote diversity and inclusion within the organization, while ensuring the workplace is equitable and free from discrimination.
- Retail Mindset: Retail is the heart of the Fleet Feet business, and as such, this position must understand the nature of the unique retail business and the roles within the business units that they support.
- Internal Communications: Curate and implement internal communications processes for the HR department and work to coordinate communications to employees.
- Program Development and Implementation: Alter existing programs and implement innovative and effective people programs that align with Fleet Feet’s strategic goals, while ensuring programs are inclusive and equitable.
- Data Analysis and Reporting Use HR analytics to measure the impact of people programs and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Experience
- 5+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a start-up or retail setting, preferably with people programs experience.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency and experience in all HR processes: recruitment & onboarding, employee relations, compensation, benefits administration, talent management, DEI, engagement and offboarding.
- Strong planning and project management skills and ability to apply these skills to communicate the plan clearly and get buy-in from stakeholders.
- Curious by nature, always seeking to understand more and doing investigative work.
- Experience in coaching and providing training in a fast-paced retail environment to various levels of management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including leadership and coaching skills.
- Knowledge of and experience with HR systems (ATS, HRIS, Performance Management).
- Excellent oral/written communication skills, including group facilitation and presentation skills.
- Proven working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides).

Additional Requirements: Position requires occasional moving around with light (1-10lbs.) carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling. The position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access files, office equipment, etc. The position is mostly sedentary and requires the employee to have close visual acuity to perform job requirements. The position requires frequent communication with team members and repetitive motion with the hands, wrists and/or fingers while constantly utilizing a computer. This position is located within an office environment and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
