HR Office Assistant Intern, Rollins School of Public Health (ETS) | Temporary - Emory Healthcare

Human Resources Summer Intern will assist with the administration of Human Resources tasks. This position will allow the student intern to work collaboratively with the human resources staff to provide assistance, complete research on best practices, and learn from an experienced group of human resources professionals.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, FMLA, student hiring, and timekeeping processes.
• Organize and facilitate employee training and development programs.
• Support HR staff in maintaining accurate employee records and databases.
• Draft HR policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Provide administrative support for HR-related projects and initiatives.
• Audit HR files and records to  collect and file all the necessary documents appropriately.
• Other duties assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate in a college or university offering a four year degree.
• Completion of freshman year or higher and in good academic standing.
• College transcripts required as part of interview process.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willing and able to take initiative.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to interpret instructions and complete tasks as assigned.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of individuals in a team environment. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience working in an office setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
