About the Job
All members of the HR Modernization team play a pivotal role in shaping the future of HR practices within Dollar General. This position entails a multifaceted approach, including the identification of gaps in HR policies, the implementation of business process improvements, and the establishment of efficient HR workflows aimed at fostering innovation within the Dollar General Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Human Capital Management (HCM) systems. There are two specialized roles that will be focused on one of the following modules:
HCM Training & Communication, Sr. Manager
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: This role will work with the Modernization team, Corporate Communications, Learning & Development, and HR generalist team to support communication and training across Store Support Center, Retail, Distribution, and Fleet.
• Dynamic Communication Planning: Develop and implement a dynamic communication plan to manage program updates, facilitate change management, and keep stakeholders informed throughout the implementation process, ensuring readiness for go-live.
• Streamline Communication Management: Work with Corporate Communications team to manage cadences and streamline communications based on specific needs of different audiences.
• Training Development & Support: Work with Learning & Development to craft necessary training to support change management and support go-live processes with stakeholders and larger employee groups.
• Standard Operating Procedure: Collaborate with SOP owners to ensure the consistent application of revised processes within operational documents.
• Content Management: Assist in building and maintaining in-system training content, such as embedded learning and knowledge articles.
- Ensure execution of HR Modernization activities against the project timeline in partnership with vendor partners and business stakeholders.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with the key stakeholders (business verticals, consulting partners & deliverable owners) and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and priorities, fostering alignment between HR modernization efforts and organizational objectives.
- Transform HR processes and policies to be more efficient, responsive, and aligned with organizational needs, and emerging industry trends, in partnership with HR & Business Partners.
- Oversee system integration efforts and ensure smooth transition and adoption of new technologies.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of HR Modernization initiatives, identifying potential risks and implementing corrective actions.
- Stay updated on external market trends, new technologies, technology trends and competitors to bring innovative solutions to meet business needs.
- Proven experience in HR modernization initiatives, business process improvement, and ERP/HCM system optimization.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully leading complex projects from inception to completion.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex problems, develop innovative solutions, and drive results.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
- Ability to achieve measurable results through collaboration and influence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource or Business, Information Technology, Organizational Management, or related field preferred.
- 6+ years of related experience required with progressively increasing responsibilities.
