The Resource is seeking a passionate and experienced HR Manager for our client, an established company that creates custom promotion products, located in Winston-Salem, NC! This is a permanent, Direct-Hire opportunity that offers a starting salary of $70,000 per year, and has a 1st shift schedule. The HR manager will be in partnership with the leadership team and provide high level general human resource services to diverse local and remote employees nationwide. Duties will include onboarding, talent management, performance and compensation management, employee relations, policy administration and the management of the Companys safety compliance. Ideal candidates for this role should have experience in a client-focused HR Generalist role, able to coach employees and management, knowledge of federal and state employment laws, and strong working knowledge of compensation strategies, system administration and processes. Responsibilities:
- Support the recruitment and onboarding process for both hourly and salaried positions to ensure that qualified candidates are identified on a timely basis and that they are effectively transitioned to a Company employee
- Conduct and oversee employee training and development to include workplace diversity, EEO, harassment prevention, supervisory skills training, performance management, etc
- Assist with the development and annual review of the Companys Compensation Program to include modifying job descriptions, job analysis, conducting complex to routine wage analysis and benchmarking; develop/maintain wage structure, and make recommendations as needed
- Assist and support the Companys metric-oriented Balanced Scorecard program to include annual performance review and merit increase processes; coach and educate supervisors/managers on proper use of the performance management processes and its alignment to the Balanced Scorecard
- Assist Supervisors/Managers in drafting Corrective Actions
- Follow, comply with and advise on complex to routine company policies, established procedures and applicable state and federal wage and hour and employment laws
- Independently investigate complex-routine complaints of Harassment or Discrimination and employee relations issues as needed ensuring appropriate policy & legal compliance and resolution, escalating very complex issues to the CEO
- Design new initiatives to meet business objectives, make recommendations to the CEO
- Develop new or improved HR processes, forms, checklists to maximize efficiency, reduce redundancy, satisfy legal requirements, control costs and comply with business conduct guidelines
- Draft, update, revise policies and Employee Handbook as needed
- Ensure safety compliance, investigate accidents, and manage workers compensation processes
- Process biweekly payrolls, including incentive plans
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) and 5-7 years directly related experience with at least 3-4 years at the professional exempt level in a client-focused HR Generalist role
- Strong working knowledge of compensation strategies, system administration and processes, job description and job family development, employee relations, and performance management
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws, HR strategies, business writing
- Must be extremely detail-oriented and very accurate, especially with numbers
- Must have the ability to build partnerships at all levels, coach employees and management, and demonstrate ability to be a change agent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate-advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Experience with internet and social media applications.
