Human Resources Manager – Talent Management & Development
We are a growing investment management firm headquartered in Boston, MA, focused on delivering exceptional value to our clients. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Human Resources Manager to lead our talent and HR initiatives. This individual will play a critical role in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent while ensuring compliance and fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
Position Overview:
The HR Manager will oversee all aspects of talent acquisition, employee retention, talent development, and general HR operations, including compensation benchmarking and compliance. This individual will be the go-to HR professional, working closely with leadership to align HR strategies with business goals and leading initiatives to enhance employee experience and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
As the HR Manager, you will lead the company’s talent and HR functions by designing and executing strategies that attract, develop, and retain top-tier talent. You’ll oversee the recruitment process, partnering with leadership to address staffing needs, manage agency relationships, and deliver an exceptional onboarding experience for new hires. Beyond hiring, you’ll focus on fostering employee growth and performance through development programs, training initiatives, and mentorship opportunities.
You will ensure compensation and benefits remain competitive through regular benchmarking and make recommendations to align with market trends and business needs. Additionally, you’ll spearhead efforts to enhance employee engagement and retention, creating recognition programs, addressing concerns, and building a positive workplace culture.
Operationally, you will maintain compliance with labor laws, oversee accurate record-keeping, and ensure internal policies reflect the latest regulatory changes. This role will also include mentoring and supervising the Administrative team, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR is a plus).
- 5+ years of HR experience, including talent acquisition and generalist HR responsibilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and align HR strategies with business goals.
- Experience in small professional services or investment management environments is strongly preferred.
Position Highlights:
- Location: Primarily onsite in Boston, with work-from-home flexibility on Fridays.
- Compensation: starting at $135k base plus 10–20% annual bonus.
