HR Manager
You are an experienced and resourceful HR Manager passionate about fostering a collaborative and productive workplace. You excel at managing day-to-day HR operations, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and supporting company culture through innovative policies and programs. With expertise in benefits administration, payroll, employee relations, recruitment, and performance management, you are a trusted partner to leadership and a champion for employees.
This position pays: $45-$50
Location: Petaluma, Ca
What you will be doing:
- Manage HRIS records, employee files, and bi-weekly payroll processing.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training processes.
- Develop and implement personnel policies, including maintaining the employee handbook.
- Schedule and monitor performance evaluations and development plans.
- Administer benefits, including enrollments, reporting, and employee support for leaves and compensation.
- Manage relationships with benefits providers and ensure compliance with reporting requirements (e.g., ACA, 401k).
- Address employee complaints, mediate conflicts, and support supervisors in resolving issues.
- Promote a positive workplace culture through recognition programs and effective communication.
- Coordinate workers’ compensation claims and employee follow-ups.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Maintain organizational charts, employee directories, and office supplies.
- Collaborate with IT to manage equipment and user accounts.
- Manage office workspaces and oversee the maintenance of clean, functional environments.
- Coordinate with IT for equipment needs and ensure smooth office operations.
What you bring:
- 5+ years of HR experience, including 3+ years in leadership roles.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, UKG) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage relationships and resolve conflicts.
- Solid understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proven ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and sound judgment.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, collaboration, and maintaining a positive workplace.
- Office-based role with exposure to production/warehouse areas, requiring adaptability to varied conditions.
