DigitalOptometrics is a fast-growing, innovative company that provides comprehensive eye exams to patients using our patented remote technology. We are seeking a full-time HR Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and managing all HR operations and functions within the organization. This includes employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, compliance with labor laws, recruiting and strategic workforce planning. The HR Manager will act as a business partner to senior management, ensuring alignment between human resources practices and the company's overall goals.
Key Responsibilities:
I. Employee Relations:
- Act as the point of contact for employee concerns and grievances.
- Foster a positive workplace environment by resolving conflicts and mediating disputes.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies to mitigate risks.
II. Performance Management:
- Support performance review processes, including setting goals, conducting evaluations, and providing feedback.
- Develop strategies to improve employee performance and productivity.
- Implement and monitor disciplinary actions when necessary, ensuring fair and consistent application.
III. Training & Development:
- Identify training needs and create development programs to enhance employee skills.
- Provide leadership development opportunities for managers and future leaders.
- Facilitate workshops or seminars related to team building, leadership, or compliance.
IV. Compensation & Benefits:
- Oversee employee compensation and benefits administration.
- Ensure competitive and equitable compensation structures.
- Manage benefits programs, including health, retirement, and wellness initiatives.
V. Compliance & Policy Management:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain employee records and documentation in accordance with legal requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and ensure health and safety standards are adhered to.
VI. HR Strategy & Reporting:
- Collaborate with senior leadership on workforce planning and organizational development strategies.
- Develop HR metrics and analyze data to support decision-making.
- Provide regular reports on HR activities, such as turnover, employee engagement, and training effectiveness.
VII. Workplace Culture & Employee Engagement:
- Promote initiatives to boost employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Organize employee recognition programs and wellness activities.
- Advise management on fostering an inclusive and diverse work environment.
VIII. Talent Acquisition:
- Guide recruitment efforts, including job postings, interviewing, and selection processes.
- Ensure effective onboarding for new hires to help them integrate smoothly into the company culture.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR management or a similar role.
- Proven experience with employee relations, recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Strong understanding of labor laws and HR best practices across the US.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Proficient in HR software (e.g., HRIS, applicant tracking systems).
- Solid understanding of compensation and benefits administration.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
