The HR Manager at Woojin Industrial Systems America will be the first and only HR practitioner in the U.S. operations, responsible for establishing and managing the company’s HR function. This individual will design and implement HR policies, processes, and strategies to support a growing workforce, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. While the focus will be on building core HR systems (recruitment, performance management, employee development), the HR Manager should also have experience in labor relations to manage union interactions as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and systems to support the company’s business goals and ensure compliance with employment laws.
- Lead full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives to attract and retain top talent.
- Establish and manage performance management processes, ensuring clear expectations and regular feedback.
- Develop employee engagement programs, fostering a positive work culture and promoting professional development.
- Provide strategic HR advice to senior management, supporting workforce planning and organizational development.
- Handle employee relations matters, conducting investigations and resolving conflicts in line with company policies.
- Manage labor relations activities as needed, supporting interactions with union representatives and handling labor-related issues.
- Oversee HR compliance with local, state, and federal employment regulations, ensuring all policies and practices adhere to legal requirements.
- Implement compensation, benefits, and recognition programs to align with industry standards and support employee satisfaction.
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees and management, providing guidance on HR matters and fostering open communication.
- Stay updated on HR trends and labor regulations, bringing innovative solutions to the HR function.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or HR certification preferred).
- 5 years of experience in HR, with at least 2 years in a management or generalist role.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and systems from the ground up.
- Familiarity with labor relations and union interactions, with the ability to manage labor-related issues as needed.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to work independently.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year, negotiable depending on experience
