Job Description: As the HR Manager at Ref Experts and HVAC, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting the organization's growth and success. You will be responsible for overseeing various HR functions and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Manage employee benefits programs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee weekly payroll processes and handle promotions and raises effectively.
- Provide support for the performance management processes, including coordinating performance evaluations and maintaining related documentation.
- Lead the hiring, firing, and disciplinary processes, including sending offer letters, managing I-9s, and conducting onboarding procedures.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees and provide new hire orientation and coordinate additional training as needed.
- Manage employment screenings, including pre-employment background screens, drug screens, and the random drug screening program.
- Develop employee development programs to support career growth and skill enhancement.
- Foster a positive workplace culture and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention accordance with legal requirements and industry best practices.
- Coordinate safety training programs to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Manage workers' compensation claims and follows Return to work policy.
- Handle unemployment filings and respond to verification of employment requests promptly.
- Administer garnishments, including child support and Medicare withholding filings.
- Manage tool loan programs and create necessary deductions on payroll.
- Tracking equipment issued to associates.
- Provide support in employee relations activities, including conflict resolution and disciplinary procedures.
- Support various HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR management roles.
- Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a startup environment is a plus.
- Proven ability to think strategically and adapt to changing priorities.
