Role Overview
Focus Solutions is seeking an experienced HR professional to join our team. As the Human Resources Manager, you will be instrumental in establishing HR-related best practices, providing guidance to management, and being a key member of the team as the company grows.
You will create and fine-tune onboarding, offboarding, and performance management processes / systems, implement a new HRIS solution, help establish a new benefits offering, and provide exceptional support to all employees.
The ideal candidate will have a broad HR background, great communication skills, and will have experience in a distributed / remote work environment. Candidates with 10+ years are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective onboarding / orientation to all incoming employees
- Work with departing employees to ensure smooth offboarding
- Benefits / Compensation
- Working with leadership, formulate a benefits strategy, facilitate the introduction of benefits to the workforce, and become the subject matter expert on benefits
- Coordinate with benefits vendors and brokers
- Maintain all benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations
- Create, standardize, and maintain job descriptions
- Performance Management
- Facilitate semi-annual performance reviews / merit increases
- Participate in the development of a performance incentive comp plan
- HRIS
- Maintain all existing employee information
- Lead / facilitate the implementation of a new HRIS system
- Ensure all employee records are compliant
- Leave Administration
- Administer leaves of absence, maintaining compliance with Federal law and various state laws
Qualifications
- 7+ years of Human Resources experience in a generalist or manager role
- Experience in a distributed / remote work environment preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Attention to detail and accuracy with a commitment to excellence
- Committed to providing amazing customer service to employees
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration is preferred
- HR Certification (HRCI and/or SHRM) preferred
