HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

The Human Resources (HR) Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) Department at the local level, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits and leave, and enforcing Company policies and practices. The HR Manager will gather and maintain statistical data on the movement of the workforce in order to provide relevant and timely reporting to senior management.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, hires and trains new staff in the department.
- Coaching and developing existing employees.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Monitoring performance and initiating action to strengthen results.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with Company policy.
Essential Functions:
- Partners with GM/Founder/CPO to execute the Company’s Human Resource & talent management strategies, assesses current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention and succession planning.
- Performs Benefits Administration and Performance Management functions.
- Provides support & guidance to other staff members when complex and sensitive questions and issues arise; will administer & execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances, such as providing reasonable accommodation assessments, investigating allegations of wrongdoing and employment terminations.
- Manages the talent acquisition process, recruitment, interviewing and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt and professional roles; collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Maintains compensation and wage structure, classifying positions in accordance to FLSA guidelines, drafts and maintains job description library.
- Creates learning and development programs & initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Oversees employee disciplinary actions, investigations and terminations in collaboration with department head, GM/Founder.
- Maintains compliance with Federal, State & local employment laws & regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to ensure compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in Human Resources, Talent Management and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or similar work experience required.
- Extensive knowledge of HR Best practices and prevailing employment law.
- 5+ years of experience in progressively responsible Human Resources roles
- 3+ years of experience in Employee Relations.
- SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification highly desired.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department within each worksite.
