Culmen is looking for an HR Generalist, Manager, Director (bi-lingual) to support an upcoming Health and Human Services opportunity.
These positions may require working extended hours, weekends, holidays, and being on-call.
What You’ll Do in Your New Role:HR Generalist
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of HR related laws and practices, as well as internal policies and procedures.
- Support management in the handling of employee relations matters and escalate as needed to the appropriate management staff.
- Assist in conducting periodic surveys to measure employee satisfaction and engagement.
- Monitor the implementation of performance improvement plans for non-performing employees.
- Maintain and report data related to headcount, turnover rates, and recruitment metrics.
- Assist in the communication and interpretation of the employee handbook and organizational chart.
- Review recommendations for employment terminations with HR and Legal department staff.
- Assist with Talent Acquisition and recruitment efforts.
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations.
- Identify areas of enhancement for the organization.
- Assist with rollout of new policies and initiatives.
- Provide ongoing support to the HR Department.
HR Manager
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process.
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
- Resolve conflicts through positive and professional mediation.
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
- Nurture a positive working environment.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Maintain pay plan and benefits program.
- Handle workplace investigations, disciplinary, and termination procedures.
- Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
- Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
- Maintain employee and workplace privacy.
HR Director
- Act to support the human factor in the company by devising strategies for performance evaluation, staffing, training, and development.
- Develop corporate plans for a variety of HR matters such as compensation and benefits.
- Serve as the point of contact for employment relations.
- Monitor adherence to internal policies and legal standards.
- Conduct internal investigations, respond to employee complaints in collaboration with site management, and provide a resolution plan to address employee complaints and concerns.
- Oversee recruitment efforts to ensure effective sourcing.
- Proactively identify areas to enhance the organization.
- Supervise the work of HR personnel and provide guidance as needed.
- Interact as a liaison between the program and the corporate office to review and respond to third party claims.
- Identify ways to increase staff retention and productivity.
- Review all management recommendations for employment terminations.
- Mitigate legal risk to the organization through proactive training and education.
HR Generalist
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field with 2 years of HR experience
OR
- Associate degree in a Business-related field with a minimum of five years experience as a Human Resources Generalist or other HR profession
- Ability to operate successfully and independently with little to no direction in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to make formal presentations in front of large audiences.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that could include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) preferred.
- Possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Possess a clear Tuberculosis test.
- Ability to successfully clear a background check.
- Ability to successfully clear a drug screening.
- Provide immunization documentation for Tdap, Varicella, MMR, Hepatitis A and B, Varicella.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
HR Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field.
- Minimum of (3) three years of HR experience.
- Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations.
- Ability to operate successfully and independently with little to no direction in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that could include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) required.
- Possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Possess a clear Tuberculosis test.
- Ability to successfully clear a background check.
- Ability to successfully clear a drug screening.

- Master’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field with 2 years of HR experience
OR
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field with 5 years of HR experience
- Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations.
- Ability to operate successfully and independently with little to no direction in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that could include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) required.
- Possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Possess a clear Tuberculosis test.
