About the Job
Sentara Health is currently seeking an experienced
HR Generalist to support the HR Business Partner team and is located at Sentara Park in Virginia Beach, VA.
This position requires onsite work three days per week. Opportunity for remote work may be offered two days per week at the manager's discretion.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Human Resources or a related field or equivalent education, training, and experience.
- Delivers service professionally and efficiently, providing prompt assistance while managing expectations to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
- 3 years of related HR experience.
- Provide real-time, accurate, and comprehensive responses to telephone and written inquiries regarding general HR-related issues, policies, procedures, and processes. Escalates complex issues where applicable.
- Develop, deploy, and execute solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation. Provides effective application and interpretation of company policies and procedures.
- An understanding of HR principles, policies, and best practices.
- Ensure consistent, equal, and fair treatment of all employees.
- Support the continuing transformation of HR via HR process implementation and the continuous technological improvements in Workday.
- Excellent analytical skills, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity.
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate with HR team members to ensure a seamless customer experience throughout processes.
Preferred Education/Experience:
- 4 -6 years of related work experience or relevant military experience
- 4+ years of experience in Human Resources
- 4+ years of experience in a role utilizing business acumen and understanding
- Experience as an HRG working with multiple functions
- Process implementations and other continuous technological improvements
- Workday HRIS experience
- Healthcare experience preferred
The HR Generalist with work with the assigned Regional Vice President and HR Business Partners in supporting HR strategies and workforce needs through administrative and operational assignments. In partnership with the assigned HR Business Partner team and the Centers of Excellence (COEs), providing guidance in multiple aspects of HR such as performance management and development, team member engagement, compensation, and talent management. Runs reports, analyzes data, and tracks various metrics for the team. Supports continuing transformation of Human Resources through HR process implementations and other continuous technological improvements.
