HR Generalist - Sorrento Valley - Vaco

The Human Resources Generalist will support the HR department in employee relations, employee engagement, benefits administration, onboarding, and performance management. Responsibilities also include facilitation and communication of organizational policies/programs, as well as recruitment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain talent management processes and recruitment strategies. And administer new hire onboarding and orientation
• Maintain employee personnel records.
• Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.
• Assist HR Manager with updating and enforcing HR policies and procedures as needed.
• Point of contact for employee inquiries, provide guidance on HR policies/procedures. Aid with employee engagement initiatives and activities.
• Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Recommend corrective action if necessary.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience working through complex and sensitive employee issues.
• Broad generalist background including coaching and counseling, performance management, employee involvement, teambuilding.
• Excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy environment.
• Exhibit extraordinary discretion, flexibility and a thorough knowledge of HR principles and federal/local regulations
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills; Independent, motivated, and driven.
• Experience with Insperity a plus.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
