About the Job
The Human Resources Generalist will support the HR department in employee relations, employee engagement, benefits administration, onboarding, and performance management. Responsibilities also include facilitation and communication of organizational policies/programs, as well as recruitment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain talent management processes and recruitment strategies. And administer new hire onboarding and orientation
- Maintain employee personnel records.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.
- Assist HR Manager with updating and enforcing HR policies and procedures as needed.
- Point of contact for employee inquiries, provide guidance on HR policies/procedures. Aid with employee engagement initiatives and activities.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Recommend corrective action if necessary.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience working through complex and sensitive employee issues.
- Broad generalist background including coaching and counseling, performance management, employee involvement, teambuilding.
- Excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy environment.
- Exhibit extraordinary discretion, flexibility and a thorough knowledge of HR principles and federal/local regulations
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills; Independent, motivated, and driven.
- Experience with Insperity a plus.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
