Role Summary:
This role will be the first point of contact for all HR questions and issues as they arise for our ~100 person facility in Maumelle, AR. This role will assist in clarifying policies and HR procedures as well as calibrate the team members and leaders on these policies and procedures. As the HR Generalist, you will receive direction and guidance from HR Leadership and the Plant Manager. You will be responsible for leading recruiting and onboarding of qualified new team members while administering the internal recruiting and selection processes. A successful candidate is a collaborative, solutions oriented, proactive and analytical HR leader who can bring creative and practical solutions to the HR team, leaders, and local team members. This role needs to ensure consistency while also thinking about continuous improvement and adding value for the site. This role is expected to keep commitments; exhibit candor and courage to establish a visible presence and point of view, to engage in spirited and constructive debate, and to hold others accountable.

Accountable for:
- Coaching team members and managers regarding employee relations issues including performance and discipline in line with business culture, core values, and legal.
- Conducting workplace investigations.
- Driving employee engagement and satisfaction through promotion of a positive team member experience.
- Ensuring effective talent management including recruitment, assessment and development as the organization grows.
- Assisting managers in assessing and identifying resources to meet employee/departmental training needs and encouragement of employees to continuously develop their skills in their field of work.
- Applying relevant US, and state employment laws and other human resources compliance issues, as well as remaining current on these topics.
- Assisting team members as needed with questions regarding any aspects of their employment.
- Interacting regularly with front line team members which may include walking and spending time on the floor, filling in for packers and inspectors when breaks need to be given, performing regular climate checks with team members, etc.
- Maintaining and optimizing site HR compliance protocol and practices.
- Performing other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least one year of human resources generalist or HR business partner experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Must model the highest degree of moral and ethical behavior
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills are essential
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, or other business-related or social science field
- Demonstrated success translating business strategies into organizational and HR strategies and actions.
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of seated work
- Frequent keyboard use/data entry
- Attention to detail
Schedule:
Onsite 20-24 hours per week with some flexibility. Must be able to work on Mondays from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm when onboarding new team members and at least 3 days per week. Our preference is to have some overlap during the week to cover 2nd shift (2:30 - 10:30 pm) and 3rd shift (10:30 pm to 6:30 am) team members as well. We can arrange a schedule that is mutually acceptable.
