Description
- Conducting new employee orientation and exit interviews
- Responding to employee questions regarding company policies, procedures and work-related problems
- Exercising judgment in providing pertinent information and assistance to authorized company personnel; referring requests and issues to more senior Human Resources personnel as appropriate
- Maintaining and distributing current employee information, policy and procedure manuals, organization charts and other communications
- Maintaining employee databases and compiling personnel statistics/reports as required
- Preparing complex charts, forms and presentations using a variety of software packages
- Counseling employees regarding benefit eligibility and coverage
- Making recommendations to HR Manager for benefit additions and changes
- Assisting in preparation and presentation of unemployment claims
- Administering salary changes and counseling managers when necessary
- Reviewing pay, classification, and grade changes for conformance with policy
- Writing job descriptions
- Counseling managers on Affirmative Action requirements
- Recruiting, screening, and interviewing job applicants, matching experience with job-relatedrequirements, to fill entry level, professional, and technical job openings
- Providing technical guidance to lower level employees
- Performing other duties as assigned
