POSITION PURPOSE:
The New Construction HR Generalist will provide HR operational support through the execution of assigned responsibilities to support business objectives and "Create Value Through People." This position is accountable for human resources operations tasks including recruiting, employee relations, salary and benefits administration, performance management, organizational development, training, safety, and state and federal compliance for multiple services centers in various geographic regions.

Experience
* 3+ years of experience with administering HR programs for manufacturing or service center personnel including, but not limited to, recruiting, employee relations, salary and benefits administration, performance management, organizational development, training, safety, and state and federal compliance.
* 3+ years of experience with California state employment law is a plus.
Skills
* Ability to build effective business relationships and work effectively with all levels of employees within the organization.
* Ability to listen and communicate effectively and professionally with clients in an effort to respond to common inquiries or complaints.
* Maintain full discretion when handling confidential information.
* Excellent computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong planning and attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
* Excellent research skills and ability to apply critical thinking.
* Ability to actively participate within a team environment.
* Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret documents.
* Must be able to communicate policies and requirements to employees and HR representatives.
* Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish is required.
Education
* An undergraduate degree in human resources, business, or related field; experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
* HR Certification through SHRM and/or HRCI is a plus.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Recruitment and Staffing:
o Participate in the recruitment, pre-employment screening, and onboarding process.
o Assist in the review and maintenance of job descriptions.
o Assist with Unemployment claims.
* Employee Relations:
o Handle employee inquiries and concerns, applying HR policies and procedures consistently, escalate to the HR Manager when applicable.
o Assist with investigations.
* Performance Management & Organizational Development:
o Assist in performance and talent management processes, including performance improvement plans.
o Support the identification of training needs and coordinating employee development programs and initiatives.
* Benefits and Compensation:
o Support and assist employees with questions related to benefits programs, enrollment, and changes.
o Assist employees with leave-related inquiries and support the HR Managers/Supervisors with leave-related tasks not supported by the Leave Administrator role.
o Provide support for the employee recognition program.
* Occupational Health and Safety:
o Respond to safety concerns and incidents and support HR Managers/Supervisors with OHS tasks not supported by the EHS Manager role.
o Assist in maintaining a safe and compliant working environment including supporting employee requirements for company-provided vehicles.
