We are searching for a dynamic, experienced, and dedicated HR Generalist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant company culture and help shape our organization. The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in our human resources department, responsible for a variety of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and training and development. This is a permanent position, offering a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact on our company's success.
Responsibilities:
1. Participate in the entire recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding, ensuring we attract and retain top talent.
2. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations as needed.
3. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
4. Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
5. Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
6. Administer and oversee benefits programs, ensuring employees understand their benefits and any changes that occur.
7. Develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain handbook on policies and procedures.
8. Conduct regular audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
9. Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation to employees and management.
10. Identify training needs for teams and individuals and manage training programs to meet those needs.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a HR Generalist role or equivalent.
3. Deep understanding of Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
4. Efficient HR administration and people management skills.
5. Excellent record keeping skills with the ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
6. Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems (e.g., PeopleSoft).
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic environment.
10. SHRM-CP or PHR professional certification is a plus.
